Stainless Steel & Leather Gorget/Collar with Lobster tail

Our (one size fits most) gorgets are made of 18 gauge stainless steel with suede leather lining, solid shank hammer-peined rivets and high quality latigo straps. Special attention is paid to properly rounding the edges of the steel plates, gorgets shouldn't be sharp! 1mm stainless steel with black suede leather lining, this gorget is a four-plate construction. Two rigid pieces that buckle together around the neck, from which two additional plates hang to protect the top of the sternum and the nape.

These gorgets have been developed by MFC by putting the feedback gained from thousands of similar products sold into revising the pattern and adding features such as folding the suede lining over the top of the plates for comfort and adding a flared edge to the hanging front plate to increase mobility. The new design also provides much more overlap between front and rear plates with an extender plate for large neck sizes and a new strapping arrangement to eliminate gaps. The result is an even better fitting and comfortable gorget while maintaining a design that has been popular.

Additionally, this gorget features a size adjustment mechanism. With two extra steel plates, the size of the gorget can be adjusted by threading the buckle strap through the holes to achieve a desired length. When threading the extension plates, make sure the front plate sits atop the extension, and the extension sits atop the back plate. This way prevents any sword points getting stuck between plates.

With this, the gorget can comfortably fit most necks, without compromising on protection. There'll be steel all the way around!Additionally, you don't have to use the extension plates if you don't need them.

These stainless gorgets meet the minimum requirements for neck and throat protection for all SCA combat activities as well as most HEMA and other groups.

Please remember the measurements provided for the gorgets are "Neck size" meaning that based on experience, that's the range of neck sizes the gorget will fit best. Its not an exact circumference measurement of the gorget but more the neck sizes that it can and will fit.
